Mark R. WardenMr. Warden is a Principal and Portfolio Manager at Wilbanks, Smith & Thomas Asset Management, LLC in Norfolk, Virginia and sits on the Firm's Investment Committee. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Warden spent five years as a Vice President and head of investment research at a regional investment advisory firm. While there, he focused on equity, fixed income and alternative investment strategies. Mr. Warden began his finance career at a predecessor bank to Bank of America. He was a Credit Analyst, Credit Review Officer and Assistant Vice President in Corporate Banking where he specialized in bankruptcy and restructuring distressed debt.

Mr. Warden graduated from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia with a degree in Commerce. He also earned an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.

Mr. Warden serves or has served on the boards of Old Dominion University Educational Foundation, Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters, Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters Development Advisory Committee, The Williams School and The Norfolk Forum.
