John N. Duy, CFA, CPA

Mr. Duy is the Director of Research and Assistant Portfolio Manager for Wilbanks, Smith & Thomas Asset Management. He is a member of the investment committee. Previously, Mr. Duy was a Portfolio Manager for a local investment advisory firm. While there, he was responsible for all aspects of the business including investment research, compliance, and operations. Mr. Duy also has five years of corporate and individual tax experience.

Mr. Duy graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from Old Dominion University with a concentration in Finance. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s, Virginia Society of CPA’s, and CFA Virginia.

Mr. Duy serves on the boards of the Old Dominion University’s Student Managed Investment Fund and the Old Dominion University Alumni Association.
