Wilbanks Smith and Thomas Asset Management LLC is now Clearstead Advisory Solutions

We are delighted to announce that as of April 1, 2024, Clearstead Advisors, LLC, a leading financial advisory firm, has acquired the assets of Wilbanks Smith and Thomas Asset Management, LLC. WST will rebrand as Clearstead Advisory Solutions, a division of Clearstead Advisors, LLC, and continue serving clients from offices in Norfolk and Roanoke, Virginia, and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Importantly, WST clients will see little change except for our name. Our client service teams, reporting, portfolio management, and research remain unchanged. The same individuals who assist our clients will continue to serve them, and the management of WST remains in place – the one distinction will be that we have a broader set of capabilities to help meet our clients’ financial objectives and aspirations.

Clearstead Advisors is a prominent financial advisory firm advising over $36 billion for individuals, families, and institutions. It is distinguished by its tax, planning, family office services, and investment research capabilities. All these resources are available to Clearstead Advisory Solutions to help us serve our clients better. The combined firm will advise over $42 billion and have more than 200 employees.
